DIY: Fun Kids Market stand using Ikea Besta Shelves

The two shelving units are from Ikea. I added slats at the end of the shelves to get the angled look in most market stands.

Here's a close up of the area I rigged.

I just drew a line on the particle board to match the length of the shelf and cut from there. Super easy. Then I drilled two holes at the bottom of the shelf and directly into the slat of particle board. You want to drill first. The shelf and the particle board will crack otherwise. Finally, I screwed them together.

This is the particle board I used. It's already primed and has a nice finished look. You can paint it if you want a more finished look. It was only $2

To create the angle, just position the shelf brackets like this. Notice the front one is just one hole lower than the back one.
