Our Apple chute. The kids will take turns dropping apples into the basket while counting each apple.  The tunnels are made of clear ketchup bottles and black electric tape with magnets fastened to the back.

Our apple stand came out so good! Its a lemonade stand converted for the playdate! It set the stage for some great dramatic play of buying and selling apples.

As a craft, the kids made placemats for their grand parents.  Materials used were red/white checkered tissue paper, brown handprint, squirrel stickers, photo of grand child and green paint.  After art dried, I covered all in clear contact paper

The kids loved this creative movement activity. We pretended to be trees. Our arms swayed back and forth like branches, we jumped high and quickly crouched low on the floor like apples falling from a tree, we wiggled like worms would through an apple and we pretended to be slow rising apples seeds that turned into great big trees that reach high into the sky

The kids wearing their Johnny Appleseed hats. Johnny Chapman was better known for his love of apple trees. Everywhere he went, he plant seeds or gave them away.
